=== Sixers name assistants to Collins' staff === Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia 76ers have named Michael Curry as associate head coach and Aaron McKie, Brian James and Quin Snyder assistants to head coach Doug Collins' staff. Curry served as the Detroit'shead coach during the 2008-09 season and led the Pistons to the playoffs in his only season on the bench. He was an assistant for the Pistons in 2007-08 and has also served as the NBA's vice president of basketball operations and the NBA Development League's vice president of player development. Curry played 11 seasons in the league for the 76ers, Bullets, Pistons, Bucks, Raptors and Pacers. He played for Collins in Detroit in 1996 and '97. McKie has been an assistant for Philadelphia the last three seasons and played in the NBA for 13 seasons with Portland, Detroit, the Los Angeles Lakers and 76ers. James has served as an NBA coach for 11 seasons with Milwaukee, Washington, Toronto and Detroit. He was a member of Collins' staff with the Wizards and Pistons. Snyder has spent the last three seasons as the head coach of the Austin Toros in the Development League and was the circuit's coach of the year in 2008-09. He also was the head coach at Missouri for seven seasons posting a 128-96 mark and took the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament four times.
