| === Pistons' Gordon undergoes ankle surgery === Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Detroit Pistons guard Ben Gordon underwent successful surgery to remove bone spurs and clean out loose bodies from his left ankle, the team announced on Wednesday. The procedure was performed by Dr. Art Manoli at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Gordon will wear a cast on the ankle for three weeks before beginning a rehabilitation stint. He is expected to be fully recovered when the Pistons open training camp in October. In 62 games -- 17 starts -- last season, Gordon posted averages of 13.8 points, 2.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds in averaging 27.9 minutes per contest. 04/28 12:21:28 ET |
