| === UAB's Millsap declares for draft === Birmingham, AL (Sports Network) - UAB junior guard Elijah Millsap announced Friday his intentions to enter the 2010 NBA Draft, though he will not hire an agent. Millsap will have until the May 8 deadline to remove his name from consideration should he opt to return for his senior year. The 6-foot-6 Millsap, brother to NBA and Utah Jazz standout Paul Millsap, earned first team All-Conference USA honors in 2009-10 for leading the league in rebounding at 9.5 per game and finishing fifth in scoring with 16.1 points per contest. "It's always been my dream since I started playing basketball to have a chance to play in the NBA," Millsap said. "I'm anxious to begin the process and see the type of feedback I get." The Grambling, Louisiana native's 17 double-doubles were good for 13th in the country. In addition, Millsap set single-season school records for rebounds (324) and free throws attempted (236). 04/09 16:57:13 ET |
