=== Houston reportedly to name Dickey men's basketball coach ===
Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Houston will reportedly name James Dickey
its men's basketball coach on Thursday.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram cited a source with knowledge of the situation
that Dickey will be announced on Thursday.
The former Texas Tech head coach led the Red Raiders to two NCAA Tournament
appearances, including the 1996 team that finished 30-2 and lost in the Sweet
16 to Georgetown.
Dickey lost nine scholarships in an academic scandal, which indirectly
resulted in four straight losing seasons and his dismissal after the 2001
campaign. He was replaced by Bob Knight.
